The banking ecosystem is faced with the advent of Fintech, which is linked to the pervasiveness of mobile devices and the growing popularity of Blockchain and the Internet of things. However, the enthusiasm for Fintech should not detract from the dangers of cybercrime and cyber security. Data theft, ransomwares and financial malwares are only a small part of the risks inherent to the value chain of Fintech, especially when one considers the fact that the Internet of things is a wide open field for cybercrime. Our FintechLab aims to investigate the threats looming over the Fintech arena as well as its vulnerability, and also to determine the best ways in which to keep online data and financial transactions secure.
